good morning!!!

The other morning, I had the privilege of waking up to Nathan saying, "Natey have water, mommy!" over and over. I just had to laugh. Usually they come into our room and say good morning and we all get up...but not that morning. It just struck me funny.

Oh, the toilet.

My kids have never been ones to play in the toilet...until one day. Monday afternoon when I came home from work, I went to the bathroom. After flushing, I knew that the toilet acted a little funny but didn't really give it a second thought. Later that night I asked my husband if the kiddos were playing in the toilet...he said yes but he didn't see them throw any toys in there. OK, so maybe they just used a little too much paper. So a couple of days go by and the toilet is still acting funny. I finally asked Lillian if she put anything in the toilet when she was home with daddy the other day. She said, "paper." I asked her if she put anything else in there. She said no. Then she said Natey put pink block. She wanted me to get it out. I told her that it was stuck. Thankfully, two gentlemen from church came over and used the snake to retrieve the block. I wish I would have been a fly on the wall when it happened because the kids were just watching them intently. When they finally got the pink block out, they jumped and screamed, "yeah, they got it!" over and over and over. Needless to say, they have not put anything else down the toilet that I know of...and it is still working fine.

funny stories

Last night I was giving the kiddos a bath. They were playing like normal. I washed their hair and they of course said "towel" after I washed their hair to wipe their eyes. They continued to play. Lillian made a huge splash while I was sitting right beside them. It pretty much got me soaked. I was just looking at them while my hair was dripping wet. Lillian looked at me and with her little voice asked me, "Do you need a towel?" It struck me as funny.
The other night, I was getting the kiddos in bed. Rose was already asleep. Our na-night routine is read 2 books, Lillian turns off the big overhead light, sing 1 song, pray, and go to bed. So one night I was reading 2 books. After the books, Lillian started to go turn off the big light so the only light left on would be the little night light on their bookshelf. Well, all of the sudden she came up to lay in bed. I asked Lillian if she was going to turn off the light. She said no. I asked her to please go and turn the light off. She said that it was already off. I looked up and sure enough it was. I just had to laugh. I said you are absolutely right!!!

"I love you"

I know I am biased when it comes to my own kids...but I just wanted to say how amazing they are and how wonderful they are. Tonight I was nursing Rose in the living room. Lillian and Nathan were sitting at the dining room table. I couldn't see them. They were talking their twin talk and then I heard Lillian say "I love you" to Nathan. My heart melted.
It's amazing how much they grow up in 2 1/2 years. I was scrap booking last weekend and I couldn't get over how much they have changed. My babies aren't babies anymore. Rose is getting bigger. I am blessed to have such wonderful kids. It melts my heart when I hear Lillian say I love you and when Nathan gives me kisses and pats my back when giving me a hug. It melts my heart after a day at work, I come into the room..."mommy's home" while Rose is flapping her arms and legs and her eyes wide open excited to see me knowing she is thinking "hmmmm DQ!!!!"
25 years from now I'll wonder where the time has gone. But for these precious moments, I wish time would stand still.

Aunt Kimmie and Rose

I just had to get a picture of Rose and Aunt Kimmie.

Mother's Day

Here are the kiddos playing at church in the little house.

Go IU!

We were on our way to the farm and stopped at the Cracker Barrel for dinner. They had IU chairs out and the kiddos just had to sit and rock on the neat IU chairs. Definitely a Kodak moment.

grandma and twins

Here is grandma and the twins as we are getting ready for bed.

going for a stroll

Here is papaw taking Lillian and Nathan for a walk to the park. They love going to the park to go and the swing and slide.

driving at 2???

Uncle Jerimy got the kiddos a 4 wheeler. Nathan loves to drive it all over the house. He also loves to chauffeur Lillian around. He's gotten pretty good at maneuvering around the house.

First Kiss

Here is Toby, a little guy at church, who loves Rose. Every time he sees her, he gives her lovins. I had to capture her first "kiss."

picnic

Here are some pictures of our all church picnic at Beach Grove park. The kiddos loved playing outside.

Cool shades

Lillian and Nathan have new sunglasses and they just love to wear them. Here they are posing in the back seat of the car.

Friendship Gardens

We went to Friendship Gardens which is a nice park on the west side. It was so beautiful. The kids loved playing in the fountain and running around in the grassy area. We had our pictures taken by Rachel Vanoven and she did an amazing job!!! I didn't even know she was taking our pictures. We had a very fun day and am looking forward to the fall when she can take our pictures again.
