We were at bible study the other night and we were leaving. We were saying bye to everyone. All of a sudden, I see Lillian and Nathan looking up in the sky and waving. They said, "Night night sun, we will see you tomorrow." I just thought it was really cute!

I had the pleasure of having the day off yesterday and spending time with my kiddos. I made chocolate chip cookies with the help of my sou chefs, Lillian and Nathan. As the cookies were coming out of the oven, they both wanted a cookie. I told them that they were still too hot and they needed to cool a little bit before having one. So what did they do? They started blowing on the cookies to cool them off faster. I thought that was so funny so I decided to write it on my facebook. As I was writing on facebook, Nathan comes in with chocolate all over his face saying that he had a big cookie. I laughed so hard. I of course had to get Lillian a cookie because she was in the computer room with me looking at pictures. When Rose got up she had a cookie too. They all seem to like cookies!

We celebrated Rose's 1st birthday yesterday. We had so much fun! Grandma and Aunt Gail came up from Jasper. Aunt Kimmie and Uncle Andy were there too along with mamaw and papaw. Lillian and Nathan had so much fun helping Rose open her toys up. They also had fun eating the cake as well. Rose had her fair share of the cake. My favorite was when they were all asleep in the car on the way home. Note to self...take pj's and change them before heading home.

Christmas 2008

Christmas was fun this year. Lillian and Nathan absolutely loved opening gifts...theirs and others. Rose tried but didn't know what was going on. It was so much fun though.

good morning!!!

The other morning, I had the privilege of waking up to Nathan saying, "Natey have water, mommy!" over and over. I just had to laugh. Usually they come into our room and say good morning and we all get up...but not that morning. It just struck me funny.

Oh, the toilet.

My kids have never been ones to play in the toilet...until one day. Monday afternoon when I came home from work, I went to the bathroom. After flushing, I knew that the toilet acted a little funny but didn't really give it a second thought. Later that night I asked my husband if the kiddos were playing in the toilet...he said yes but he didn't see them throw any toys in there. OK, so maybe they just used a little too much paper. So a couple of days go by and the toilet is still acting funny. I finally asked Lillian if she put anything in the toilet when she was home with daddy the other day. She said, "paper." I asked her if she put anything else in there. She said no. Then she said Natey put pink block. She wanted me to get it out. I told her that it was stuck. Thankfully, two gentlemen from church came over and used the snake to retrieve the block. I wish I would have been a fly on the wall when it happened because the kids were just watching them intently. When they finally got the pink block out, they jumped and screamed, "yeah, they got it!" over and over and over. Needless to say, they have not put anything else down the toilet that I know of...and it is still working fine.
